The 3rd stop of the 2011 Greene Boat & Motor
Trail was this past Saturday on Lake Wylie and fielded 47 teams. Weather would
play a big part in the outcome as we had cooler air temps and drizzle
throughout the day. We had some wind mixed in with plenty of cloud cover and
the weights were down from what is usually brought in this time of year on
Wylie.
Greene Boat & Motor pro staff member Jody Wright of
Forest City, NC and James Dyer of Connelly Springs, NC have been rolling right
along the past few months. Whether they are teaming up or fishing with alternates
these boys have been cashing in. They brought in 5 bass weighing 16.76 lbs
taking 1st Place plus they weighed in a 5.67 lb bass to take 2nd Place Big Fish. All total they received $1,707.00 but wait….the Greene Trail is
sanctioned under the Stratos 2x program. Jody and James just happened to be
signed up so they will double their winnings and take home a grand total of
$3,414.00!

Gastonia, NC finished in 2nd Place with another limit weighing 16.32
lbs and the received $925.00.
