We had 35 Teams enter the 1st 2011 Greene Boat
& Motor Trail Qualifier on Lake Wylie this past Saturday. Rumor was that the fishing was extremely
tough. As the weigh in began several of the teams brought in small bags of bass
but toward the end we finally started seeing some good stringers of fish. We
had 11 new teams sign up this spring. Next up is the February 19th Qualifier on Lake Norman and no doubt we will pick up several more teams. Come
join in the fun and you will not be disappointed with the amount of cash being
paid back! We will add an optional $25.00 side pot at the next Qualifier with
100% going to the highest placing team entering the side pot.
James Dyer and David Fortenberry weighed in a 5.23 lb bass
which was caught on a shakey head and took home the 1st Place BF
money of $490.00. Add in the remaining four bass they had in their bag and they
not only took home the 1st Place BF but also captured 1st place. Their total weight was 15.48 lbs and they collected a total of $1715.00.
2nd went to John Schohn and Todd Moss with a
limit of bass weighing in at 14.46 lbs and they received $700.00.
Ryan Hinkle and Dan Mullane brought in a limit weighing
14.17 lbs taking 3rd place and they also had the 2nd place BF at 4.36 lbs. All total they
walked away with $660.00.
Nathan Webber and Dale Webber finished in 4th with
13.23 lbs and received $280.00.
Last money paying place went to Jeff and Darrell Hager with
a total weight of 12.15 lbs and they took home $200.00.
Next up is Lake Norman February 19th and we will
be leaving out of Pinnacle Landing.
Brett Collins, our tournament director, will be at the 2011
Greene Boat & Motor Open House in Spindale on Saturday, February 5 from 9-3
so come out and sign up for the remaining tournaments of the 2011 Greene Boat
& Motor Trail and the 2011 CATT Trail.
